The 4 Decisions
Pause Step Back Step Aside Let Inspiration Guide
Pause: the decision to stop.
Step Back: the decision to get out of my own way.
Step Aside: the decision to invite Inspiration in to help me.
Letting Inspiration Guide: the decision to be with my Inspiring HeartMind
What is a "Decision?" A decision is an act of the mind.
How To Practice The 4 Decisions
1. PAUSE: The decision to stop.
WILLING: to experience stopping in the moment. ACTION: Begin with a one second pause; continue as long as you choose.
2. STEP BACK: The decision to get out of my own way.
WILLING: to allow room for Another Way. ACTION: Step back from feelings, thinking
planning, figuring, judging, saying and doing. Don't push them away. Allow room for
Another Way. Breathe. Give some space. Let your mind be a clean slate.
3. STEP ASIDE: The decision to invite Inspiration in to help.
WILLING: to receive Inspiration. ACTION: Allow stillness to replace the chatter. Rest in
Quiet patience. Be open to Inspiration's
Help. Put forth your questions. For example:
"Is there another way?"
"What will be truly helpful now?"
4. LET INSPIRATION GUIDE: The decision to be with my Inspiring HeartMind.
WILLING: to trust that there is a Knowing greater than what I am thinking,
yet still within me, leading to an awareness of peace and truth.
A way of being in the world that is truly helpful. ACTION: Relax, listen, and open to insight. Follow as Inspired.
No effort, no force, whenever you are ready.
The choice is always yours. Peace of mind is always ours to choose.
Please read the following BEFORE practicing the 4 Decisions
Inspiration will be revealed in a thought, an inner knowing, in a word or words, an image, even a song, and/or an action to take. Perhaps as simple as seeing anew; inner sight and outer sight;
Results All of the above result in a change in perception from lack of peace to peace; from a sense of disconnectedness to an experience of connection.
Keeping It Straight INSPIRATION NEVER INSPIRES HARM.
Nice or Inspiring?
- Inspiration is not about being nice; it is about being inspiring.
- Inspiration's communication is always direct, clear and truly helpful and
- Inspires you to also be direct, clear and truly helpful.
- Inspired communication is not cloudy, muddled, confusing or mysterious;
- Love's extension is clear and always helpful!
No Worry; Inspiration Is Always Received! Inspiration may or may not appear to be welcomed and accepted by another, yet rest assured that Inspiration has been received within another's heart and mind whether he or she is aware of it in that moment or not. The acceptance of Inspiration is up to each of us in our own time.
Only Your Direct Experience Transforms These 4 Decisions are an opening to your direct experience of Inspiration
during the course of everyday life. Reading, ideas, concepts and talking
